Rating:

The Star Classification is based upon the overall quality, features, durability and usability of the light as perceived by the tester.
This will be a subjective composite rating of all of the qualities of the light but is primarilary based on the descriptions below.

Note: 1/2 Star rated lights are better than the "whole Star" rating their based on, but not quite up to the standards of the next Star rating in my opinion.

1½  Stars = Poor+ / Not Recommended / Well Below Average
2     Stars = Fair / Low end equipment / Below Average
2½  Stars = Fair+ / Low end equipment / Aproaching Average

Top Picks: Top Pick !!!

If you see a "thumbs up" ( Top Pick !!! ) next to certain lights, these are my "Top Picks" or preferred lights. In my opinion these lights provide the best combination of usability/price/value/durability of all the lights I have tested. You may choose other lights based on your own personal needs and preferences, but these are the ones I prefer and/or use most frequently.

No Longer Have: No longer have this light

If you see this symbol ( No longer have this light ) I no longer have the light. This means it was probably loaned to me for reviewing purposes and had to be returned to its original owner, or something happened to the light and it was probably lost or destroyed. In any case, I cannot do beam shots, take further pictures, or give further information about this particular light.
