Here is another great mod completed and submitted by Randy
M. Here is the process in his own words:
Here is my second successful mod. I took a small kit box,
a Luxeon Star-0 (white), push button on/off switch (Radio
Shack) a driver from LEDSupply and a battery holder for a
CR2 lithium.

|
|
| Fairly simple mod, cut hole in short end of kit box to mount
Luxeon. |
|
|
| Mounted Luxeon, battery holder and driver module with epoxy,
as well as push button on/off switch. |
|
|
| Had enough room left over to be able to store spare CR2 inside
case. This little handful gives you 1-watt of LED power from
single CR2, yet will fit in a shirt pocket easily. |

Have not tested run-time yet, but have been
using same battery since Oct. 03 and still going strong. The
only caveat to this mod, you need a small phillips screwdriver
to remove case lid to access/change battery. Flat sides on
kit box make this an ideal trouble light, it sits very well
on either flat side, only the addition of a small magnet and
you have trouble light extraordinaire.
